Window Cleaning Questions, Answered
Everything homeowners, property managers, and business owners ask us most, organized by topic so you can find your answer fast.
Pricing & Booking
How much does window cleaning cost in San Clemente?
Most homes run $150 to $600 per visit depending on size, story height, and access. Commercial jobs are often priced by square footage instead. See our full cost guide for a detailed breakdown.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept major credit and debit cards, along with standard digital payment methods. Payment details are confirmed when you book, and commercial accounts can arrange invoicing for recurring service.
Is a deposit required to book a visit?
No deposit is required for most residential and commercial visits. Payment is collected upon completion of service unless a different arrangement has been agreed to in advance.
Do you offer recurring or subscription plans?
Yes. Monthly, quarterly, and biannual recurring plans are available for both homes and businesses, and they typically come with a lower per visit rate than one time service.
Do you offer discounts for referrals or repeat customers?
We do. Ask about current referral and recurring customer pricing when you request your quote, since offers can vary by season and service type.
What is your cancellation and rescheduling policy?
Cancellations or rescheduling requests made with at least 24 hours notice are not charged a fee. Repeated last minute cancellations may be subject to a fee to help cover the reserved time slot.
Scheduling & Service Details
Do I need to be home during the visit?
Not usually for exterior only service. Interior cleaning needs access, so someone will need to be present or leave a way in, such as a lockbox or gate code.
Do I need to move furniture or open blinds before you arrive?
For interior visits, clearing window sills and opening blinds or curtains ahead of time helps us work faster, though our technicians will move light items themselves if needed.
How long does a typical visit take?
A single story home usually takes one to two hours. Larger or multi story homes can take three to five. See our full timeline breakdown by property type.
Do you bring your own water, or use ours?
We bring our own purified water system. It produces mineral free water on site, which is part of why our results hold up better than a garden hose or tap water would.
Do you clean tinted windows?
Yes, using methods and products safe for tinted film. Let us know ahead of time if any windows are tinted so we can adjust our approach.
What’s included in a standard visit versus an add on?
A standard visit covers glass, frames, and a basic screen rinse. Deep track cleaning, hard water removal, and blinds are usually separate. See our full breakdown of what’s included.
Coastal & Seasonal Care
Why do coastal San Clemente homes need cleaning more often?
Salt air settles on glass daily near the coast, building up faster than dust does further inland. Homes right on the water often need cleaning every six to eight weeks. See our full explanation.
Can hard water and salt stains be fully removed?
Most staining comes off completely. Deep, years old etching is different and may leave a faint trace even after treatment. See our detailed guide.
Can you remove paint or construction residue from glass?
Yes, using the correct solvent and technique for the type of overspray. This is common after a nearby remodel or exterior paint job, and needs different handling than everyday dirt.
Do you offer emergency or storm cleanup service?
We can often accommodate post storm cleanup requests depending on our schedule. Call or text us directly after a major weather event to check availability.
Why does my skylight look cloudy even after cleaning?
Surface dirt cleans off, but cloudiness between the panes of a double pane skylight usually means a failed seal, not something a cleaning can fix. See our skylight care guide.
Trust, Safety & Guarantee
Is ClearCraft licensed and insured?
Yes. We are fully licensed and insured, and proof of current documentation is available upon request before booking.
What happens if I’m not satisfied with a visit?
We come back and fix it at no additional charge. No debate, no extra fee, just a commitment to get it right.
What safety precautions do you take on ladders and roofs?
Technicians are trained in ladder safety and roof access procedures, and we use water fed poles from the ground whenever possible to avoid unnecessary height work altogether.
Are your cleaning products safe for pets and plants?
Yes. Our solutions are formulated to break down salt and mineral buildup without harming nearby landscaping or pets that may be in the yard during a visit.
Do you use subcontractors?
No. Every job is handled by our own trained crew, not a subcontractor or a third party dispatched by a call center.
Commercial & Property Management
How often should office buildings have windows cleaned?
Most standard offices do well with two to four visits a year. Coastal or high traffic buildings often need more. See our full frequency guide.
How should I budget for commercial window cleaning?
Pricing is usually based on square footage or window count, plus access requirements. See our budgeting guide for a full breakdown of pricing models.
Do you require HOA approval for gated communities?
We can work with your HOA’s process directly, including any required vendor registration or advance notice. Let us know your community’s requirements when you book.
Can you provide proof of insurance for our leasing office?
Yes. Many commercial leases require proof of insurance before any vendor works on the property, and that is a routine request we can fulfill quickly.
How often should storefronts be cleaned?
Weekly is common for busy corridors. Coastal storefronts often need the same schedule regardless of foot traffic. See our full guide.
